Walk in Harlem - See what's Happening Uptown!

Come visit Harlem!

3 to 4 hours - This walk explores part of the northern reaches of Manhattan - the area we know as Harlem, once New Haarlem and farmland, then the destination of the New York and Harlem Railroad, but now known to most as the heart of African American culture and society.

Yet, interestingly, it was also the last home of our first secretary of the treasury, Alexander Hamilton, in his retirement.  But Harlem is music, art, dance and home to hundreds of thousands of thriving people - and wonderful restaurants too!

The Street Teacher offers many other tours - and not all necessarily by foot. He and his associates also can hire a car and driver for a far ranging private tour, or step onto your coach and give an exciting tour of the city for your group - large or small.
