Discover Williamsburg!

Once a Major Port -

Now a neighborhood of Brooklyn, and no longer a separate city, Williamsburg is a thriving home for many, and a destination for more who want to enjoy a less bustling part of this great city.  Many new hotels have opened - and there's Smorgasburg!

This is a very walkable part of Brooklyn, and its history spans from the Brooklyn Navy Yard, founded in 1802, and the Commandant's House near Vinegar Hill, where Matthew Perry, whose most well-known exploit was his journey to Japan in 1852-1854, which concluded with the Treaty of Kangawa, opening up Japan to foreign trade.

The Street Teacher offers many other tours - and not all necessarily by foot. He and his associates also can hire a car and driver for a far ranging private tour, or step onto your coach and give an exciting tour of the city for your group - large or small.
